Hospital Report Card

Riverview receives top marks

Patient Satisfaction

Riverview Hospital randomly selects patients to receive a patient satisfaction survey. The survey allows patients to rate their entire experience with Riverview Hospital and to provide their comments. Nothing is more important to our organization and its improvement efforts than patient input. View the quarterly patient satisfaction report here.

Heart and Vascular Center Quality Dashboard

Riverview Hospital received a 5-Star rating - and the highest  markes in the metro-Indianapolis area - for emergency treatment of heart attacks.  The study was conducted by Gannett News Service and published in the Indianapolis Star on September 28, 2006.  Riverview also received a 5-Star designation in the treatment of heart failure patients. Joint Commission Quality Report

The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations Quality Report provides information to consumers about any Joint Commission–accredited organization’s accreditation status, compliance with National Patient Safety Goals and National Quality Improvement Goals. In addition to the accreditation status, the Quality Report uses checks, pluses, and minuses in each of the following key areas to help you compare one health care organization with another:

  • National Patient Safety Goals (safety guidelines that target the prevention of medical errors such as surgery on the wrong side of the body and safe medication use).
  • National Quality Improvement Goals (measures the care of patients with specific conditions such as heart failure or pregnancy).

Hospital Compare Scorecard

Hospital Compare Scorecards provides individuals with information on how well the hospitals in their area care for all their adult patients with certain medical conditions. This information helps individuals compare the quality of care hospitals provide. Hospital Compare was created through the efforts of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and organizations that represent hospitals, doctors, employers, accrediting organizations, other Federal agencies and the public. Riverview Hospital provides Scorecard information — gathered through a third party — to CMS.
