Registration and Admissions
If are coming to the hospital for a medical emergency, enter the hospital through the Emergency Center entrance #1. If you are coming for Outpatient care, enter through entrance #9.
Parking
Parking is located on the south and east sides of the hospital near entrances #9 and #11. Emergency Center parking is located by Emergency Center entrance #1.
Certification/Utilization Review
Most insurance companies require certification when you are admitted to the hospital. The utilization review department can assist you with this process. Call ext. 7436 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
What to Wear/What to Bring
All patients - Riverview requires that patients wear pajamas or a hospital gown and protective foot wear at all times within the hospital. We also request that you leave electric appliances such as hair dryers, electric razors, radios, hair curlers, clocks and televisions at home.
Maternity patients - At Riverview, we’ve watched plenty of parents arrive prepared, and others - well, not so much. That’s why we advise you pack your suitcase in plenty of time, and make sure you bring the items listed below. To be sure you don't forget anything, download or print out our

- The camera(s), still and/or video
- The names and phone numbers of people you want to call with the news
- Comfortable clothes (Sorry, but you probably won’t be in those pre-pregnancy clothes just yet.)
- If you plan on nursing, a top that allows you to do so easily. And don’t forget the nursing bra and pads.
- An outfit for the baby to wear home (including a t-shirt, something for the feet, and, depending on the time of year, a hat and/or coat)
- Toiletries. We can provide “the basics,” but if you want to feel somewhat like your old self again, you’ll want to bring your favorites.
- The car seat. It’s a must. If you don’t have one, Riverview’s Car Seat Program makes car seats available at a low fee.
RehabCare Center - The RehabCare Center requires patients to wear their own clothes during the day.
